General CB Asset Management was established in 1994 upon licensing from Finansinspektionen (FI), the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Swedish FSA), for management of equity portfolios. The company manages three funds: European Quality Fund, CB Hedge Europe and Save Earth Fund. The three funds are managed by Carl Bernadotte, Stefan Karlsson, Marcus Grimfors and Alexander Jansson, and are administered by SEB or Caceis in Luxemburg. This means that CB Asset is responsible only for the management of the funds, while the fund administrators are responsible for all the deposits/withdrawals of the funds, daily valuation, shareholder registry etc.
The Swedish FSA The Swedish FSA is a public authority that is responsible for supervising companies in the insurance, credit and securities markets. Their overall objective is to contribute to the stability and efficiency of the financial sector in Sweden, and to promote satisfactory consumer protection. The FSA examines the risks and control systems in financial companies and they supervise compliance with statutes, ordinances and other regulations. Operations that involve offering financial services require a permit granted by the FSA. They also issue regulations and general guidelines and asses whether existing legislation needs to be amended. Ambition Private as well as institutional investors seek a return on their investments. That is the foundation of all investment theory and practice. Therefore, our ambition for the fund management is to generate an absolute return, while being competitive in relation to the relevant index. The strategy is to have a long investment horizon towards companies and funds that are estimated to have the ability to deliver stable profit growth also during recession.
